Vicki Weidman

Vicki Weidman is a licensed social worker in the states of New York, New Jersey and Maryland. She received her certification from the DBT Linehan Board of Certification in April 2017. She earned her MSW from Hunter College School of Social Work in 1997 with Honors in Research and Group Work.
Vicki has a background in substance abuse and psychodynamic psychotherapy. She provided services in multiple settings in New York City for 10 years. In 2002 she worked for Project Phoenix treating 9/11 trauma survivors. She has also provided trauma therapy to veterans of Iraq and Afghanistan. In 2010, Vicki became immersed in the study and practice of DBT, including intensive training with Marsha Linehan, the founder. She then completed the course in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn. The culmination of these experiences has shaped her current practice with an emphasis on Mindfulness.
Vicki has provided individual and DBT Team supervision to several providers in the greater Baltimore area.
